Join the Affiliate Network
YouCupon’s affiliate network offers you a new channel for attracting customers. By joining our network, coupons from other stores will appear in your coupon games as non-winning coupons. In return, your coupons will be displayed in the coupon games of other sites. YouCupon provides simple yet comprehensive affiliate settings, allowing you to control where your coupons appear and which coupons are shown in your store, maximizing effectiveness.
Affiliation is disabled by default.
Set Up Affiliation and Coupons
Enable Affiliation
The first step to using this feature is enabling affiliation. In the YouCupon dashboard, click the “Settings” tab, navigate to the “Affiliate Settings” section, and check the box for “Enable Affiliation”.
Select In-Bound Categories
Next, pick at least two in-bound categories to allow other sites in those categories to display their coupons in your shop. For example, if you select the “Video Games” and “Toys and Games” categories, then merchants who have set their out-bound categories to “Video Games” or “Toys and Games” will have the opportunity to show their coupons on your shop.
Out-bound Categories
You can control where your coupons appear on other sites by selecting out-bound categories. For example, if you select “Video Games” and “Toys and Games”, your coupons will have the opportunity to be shown in shops that have selected these categories as their in-bound categories.
To maximize effectiveness, ensure that your out-bound categories align with the nature of your shop and products, so users on other sites will be more likely to engage with your coupons.
Blacklisting (Optional)
If you want to block certain sites, such as your competitors, you can add their domain names in the “Blacklisted Domains” section. Sites on your blacklist won’t have their coupons displayed on your shop, and your coupons won’t be shown on theirs.
This gives you more control over where your coupons appear, ensuring they are only shared with sites you deem appropriate.
Save Settings
Don’t forget to click the “Save” button to apply all your changes.
Create Affiliate Coupons
Now that the affiliate network settings are configured, the next step is to create affiliate coupons for the network. The process is similar to the steps outlined in the Quick Start for other types of coupons: Navigate to the “Affiliation” tab in the YouCupon dashboard, select a target product, mask the background, adjust the settings to fit your needs, and you're done.
It may take a few hours to process your affiliate coupon and make it available for coupon games across the affiliate network. However, if you're using the same product selected for lead-generation coupons, YouCupon will reuse the processed data, making the coupon available immediately.
