Create Upselling Coupons
In addition to allowing users to draw coupons directly on a product page, you can also enable them to draw coupons for upsell products during checkout in the cart. Here’s how the “Draw a Coupon” buttons appear in the cart:
Upselling coupons serve as the winning prize in the coupon games triggered by these buttons.
Steps
The process of creating an upselling coupon is similar to the steps shown in the Quick Start for other types of coupons: Simply navigate to the “Upselling” tab in the YouCupon dashboard, select a target product, mask the background, adjust the settings to meet your needs, and you're done. It tasks a while (few hours) to process your coupon and make it available for coupon games.
YouCupon works with the native upselling feature provided by Shopify. However, this feature is not enabled by default. So, you must enable it manually.
Enable Upselling in Shopify
To enable upselling in Shopify, follow these steps:
Open Theme Editor
Open the theme editor. Go to your Shopify admin page, navigate to Online Store > Themes, and click the Customize button for your active theme.
Add YouCupon Upselling Section
Next, in the theme editor, select the page where you want the upselling section to appear. Click Add section, then search for the YouCupon Upselling section.
Click Save to apply the changes.
Congrats! You have successfully enabled upselling, and the “Draw a Coupon” buttons will now appear in the cart when the target products are recommended in the "You may also like" section.
